What is your passion?
Exploring, researching and experiencing as much as possible what the world has to offer.
What is important for you?
Intention. It defines what something is at its core, and is the base for constructing anything interesting.
How do you Label yourself?
It is to soon to label myself, we will see.
Describe your work in one sentence without using the word ‘design’.
I like to positively impact the daily human mindset and/or behaviour by shaping elements of our surroundings.
How do you relate to the field of well-being?
I aspire to having a balanced life, and to fill my routine with positive things, people and energy.
What is well-being for you? How does it reflect in your work?
To me it is about appreciating the quality of the simple things. My work tries to enlighten some of the ‘’simple things’’ I consider important and bring them into the consideration of others.
What do you do for the world & what is your input?
The starting point for my work always comes from observing the world so the outcome is directed towards the world as well. I research/create for others, if the work we do is not meant to impact the world around us in anyway then it would just be a daily hobby. So my input is to bring a positive productive participation to “the world”.
How would your work influence the future?
I prefer not to speculated to much about that, It is a little overwhelming, but as I said if the core intention of my work is good I believe it can only influence the future in a positive way.
How do you explain to your family what your doing?
So far the most efficient way has been to ask them to participate in/for some of my projects. I understand things and find them more interesting when I get to participate and/or experience them, so I felt like doing the same with my family. Now, they understand the meaning of ‘’process’’, the research and the experimentation needed before reaching a ‘’final’’ production.
How do others benefit most from what you do?
I hope it is by being inspired.
What is your way of working regarding the research you do & the strategy you have to reach your audience?
Well usually I am intrigued by topics that everyone can relate to, I believe that no matter who we are or where we come from we can be triggered by the same things. The appreciation of beauty for example is universal.
How do you structure your life?
I am naturally pretty balanced so I try to keep it that way, some times are more balanced then others. I need to work and be productive to appreciate my ‘’off times’’ and vice versa.
What kind of media are you working with? (skills & programs you use)
I am fascinated by textiles, mostly because they can be/become anything. It is an endless field of fascination, from tradition to unimaginable innovations. Textiles are technically captivating but also hold a strong sensitivity. But as we developed skills, ways of observing and thinking I believe they can be applied to large fields of creation/design, and I would like to keep all these doors open for now.
What type of assignment do you feel comfortable with?
Actually I like not feeling comfortable, through out my experiences I found myself usually taking a direction I hadn’t explored before it keeps the work more interesting, exiting and challenging. It makes each project original.
